Our Story
The Derrough Foundation was established following a transformative event in Katherine and Cubby Derrough's lives—a devastating house fire in April 2021. This experience profoundly impacted them and inspired their mission to raise awareness about the challenges faced by fire victims. Through dedicated fundraising efforts, the foundation strives to provide meaningful support to those affected by fires, helping them rebuild their lives.

Alexander is currently a junior at Menlo-Atherton High School. Alexander is a part of the varsity tennis team and co-runs 2 climate change clubs at school. He is very passionate about the cause as he was the only one home at the time of the fire. He wants no one to feel alone in times of struggle and he wants to make a change by donating money to fire victims.
